The Journey Between Our Realities

For us (being National Guard vs. Active Duty) Living in Alabama is kind of like a (really awesome) deployment - that I get to be with Brian for.  When all is said and done - and others are on pins and needles waiting to see where their next station will be, we know we will be heading home to the cedar valley.  As attractive as "seeing the world" is - we're really more than okay with our journey - Wings are great, but to us Roots are equally as important - if not more in some ways.  We're loving Army life, but we are starting to get anxious to get back to our roots and our "Reality."  Because really, we have been living in two separate realities since last October.  It's really interesting to think about - Our Alabama life vs. Our Iowa life.  Recently we took a trip home to Iowa - had some fun, had some of that reality.  Then we started on our journey south.  I've always wanted to road trip across the US, so we took 4 days at a leisurely pace and saw some sights.  Below are some highlights :)

The right tool for the right job - that'd the Mader Way
